According to historical records, a forbidden spring, or "Pancur Larangan lay on the west side of Fort Canning Park, also known as Bukit Larangan, "Forbidden Hill". This garden is designed based on intensive studies and collaboration with researchers and reinterpreted to enhance the experience of Fort Canning Park, as part of its redevelopment plan.
