The Spice Garden at Fort Canning Park is a 0.25ha redevelopment project as part of rejuvenation of Fort Canning Park. The garden is also a popular spot for wedding couples to mingle with their families and friends as the Registry of Marriage is located next to it. The nearby Gothic gates also serve as an iconic backdrop for wedding photography.

 

The design aims to achieve the following:

  • To make the garden more accessible and welcoming to park users, as well as a photo-taking venue for wedding couples

  • To allow a direct barrier-free access for from the garden to the Fort Canning Centre

  • To provide a better garden experience through the curation of economic, culinary and ornamental spices
